This store is a gem! One of the most unique places I’ve ever been to and I will certainly be back for more souvenirs from my travels. Lots of treasures from around the world, so beautifully displayed! Pam was so lovely and helpful! The story of the business and the owners is incredible and I feel so honored to have met Pam. This place has an absolutely fantastic. They had an unbelievable assortment of gemstones, fossils, mounted butterflies, beetles and bats, too!! The assortment of gemstones was massive...the storefront opened up into a large warehouse and that was when I realized that this place had the biggest assortment of rough and tumble stones under one roof that I had ever enjoyed.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid (2003-ish), and it's still just as magical as it was back then. Whether you're an avid rockhound, a casual collector, or just like looking at shiny rocks, Pam and her staff have something for everyone.

An absolutely MASSIVE store with hidden treasures everywhere! A section for Retail and wholesale and then the display pieces at the front. A definite place to go if your just looking around it or buying, the prices are unbelievable, mostly the rocks by pound! Hope to see this place again!

Excellent a must visit, wonderful presentation of raw and polished rocks, stones, fossils and so much more. Learning area, retail and wholesale. Amazing true stories and history from the owners. Love this place.

Great shop! Incredible, museum-quality pieces. Not too much rough and uncut but a large selection of mineral specimens and fossils. I’ve never seen such intact trilobites; very cool! Friendly staff, too. Will definitely return.

Stories In Stones is well worth visiting. I visited for the very first time, today, and I was so impressed with their inventory and their prices, as well as the organization of the rocks/shells/jewelry/etc. and the labeling of each individual item in each case. I lived in Madison, WI for the last decade and I visited the vast majority of rock shops in that area and I have to say that this shop went above and beyond my expectations. Bravo to the owner(s) and the staff! You've done a fabulous job! I'll definitely go back there. The copper from the Keweenaw Peninsula was quite nostalgic. We love the UP! Lake Superior is forever in our hearts. It was so uplifting to see this as part of the rock shop in one of the cases. 💗

Awesome rock shop! Super helpful people and lots of inventory. That is very affordable! It was easy for us to find. The staff was super helpful and we had a lot of fun looking at all the rocks.

This is a museum where you can buy amazing geological finds! You can find something cool here for any budget. The owner was super helpful and knowledgeable. She even chased us down to the next door when we left change behind! We bought gifts for hard to shop for people, a piece of sandstone art and our son found some sweet rock specimen. Will be back for a pair of handcrafted earrings!
